STAR WARS: VISION
So, what is Star Wars: Vision.? It’s an animated series on Disney plus that feature different tales about Stars Wars from a Japanese perspective. This is not the first time we are going to see a what-if scenario like this. The same technique was used for 2018’s Batman Ninja.
Star Wars: Vision is having nine episodes and some episodes are as short as twelve minutes to nineteen minutes long. This animated series is easily bingeable without getting worried about finding time to dump into it. But I’ll like to add that it’s best you take breaks in between your watch time due to the nature of the show. Unless you’re planning to watch it more than once. Why do I say this? Well, there is lots of information to absorb in each episode, this range from the visuals changes and difference, and most importantly, the different tales each episode has to tell. Also, doing this will help you appreciate the effort put into crafting each episode by the studios involved in each studio.
There is a distinctive style of art and animation for each episode. An element that you can easily tell from the first episode “The Duel”. This episode takes on the style of old Japanese black and white samurai movies in its storytelling and visual medium. By the time you move over to the second episode. It’s a different tale with different visual expressions. When it comes to the storytelling there is a prominent pattern that is common to all the episodes, the tales are usually set during an era or time where Jedi or Sith are not common in the world the tales are set. My favorite episodes happened to be the first and the sixth episodes.
If you are a fan of Star Wars and a fan of anime you should definitely check out star wars vision.
