NOBODY
After seeing this movie, I understood why people were making comparison to 'John Wick' with this movie. 'Nobody' is by the same movie producer/director that made 'John Wick', 'Atomic Blonde' and 'Deadpool 2'.
The plot of this movie is not a new one, in fact we've seen it a number of times in other movies. A former assassin, hitman or special agent stops working and retires. Few years into his new normal life, an incident happens that brings him out of retirement and back into action. The plot of this movie is as simple and familiar as that.
With a not so new plot, 'Nobody' is about 1 hour 30 minutes long. It makes use of its run time effectively. We're familiar with the storyline, so the movie just needs to get straight to the point instead of dragging along, that's what it does and I enjoyed my time watching.
The action scenes in 'Nobody' are similar to the movies I made reference to earlier. When the brawls and shootouts doesn't feel way too exaggerated, it feels realistic. For instance, there is a bus fight scene, where Hutch fights off a group of men. This scene has a touch of realism. The protagonist and antagonists show sense and feeling of fatigue while engaging one another in the brawl(no unlimited stamina.) You see the same thing in 'John wick' and most especially 'Atomic Blonde'; that's definitely the style of the director.
I don't have much to say about 'Nobody', by the way it's nice to see Bob Odenkirk in a movie role and not TV series. If his name sounds familiar then you're familiar with the 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better Call Saul' series, great actor by the way.
Overall, 'Nobody' is a movie that brings nothing new to the table, it is just up on the shelf or list of good movies in 2021. If you're looking for a fun time and entertainment you can check this movie out.
