WRATH OF MAN
'Wrath Of Man' is a Guy Ritchie movie and I have to say I was really hyped for this one when i saw it trailer and my hype wasn't let down. Who would have thought one could make a plot out of security guys in armored vehicles transporting precious cargos and delivering them? Well, Guy Ritchie did, and this is the premise of this movie but there is more to it than it meet the eyes than this seemly simple plot.
Most times when we see security guys in armored trucks in movies we know they're usually targets for thieves and heist in movies. We don't get to see their side of events Guy Ritchie uses this as the surface plot for this movie and it worked brilliantly to draw in the audience into the deep crime story he has to tell. By the time this movie hits the One hour mark, the plot starts to unfold and we're taken on a serious trip and a deep dive. In essence the plot of this movie is complex. To say one didn't see this coming will be an understatement. When this happens, you'll know you're experiencing a Guy Ritchie's movie; very classic of him.
'Wrath of Man' stars Jason Statham as Patrick Hill, H for short. The last time I saw Jason Statham in a movie was in 'Hobbs and Shaw', a 'Fast and Furious' spin-off, I was really looking forward to his performance in this one. He doesn't disappoint either, the role was just natural for him.
Two things I've grown to love about Guy Ritchie's movies. First is the way he intentionally puts the audience in a state of the unknown by leaving out details which will eventually get revealed. This trick works every time he does it in his movies. I don't know how but he just finds a way to make it work. The Second one, is the sound score. This movie tick this on checklist as expected in this area. I mean if you've watched 2017's 'King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword'. I don't have to say much about this again.
It's very difficult for me to even pick a favourite movie from this director, If you've watch the 'Sherlock Holmes' movies, 'The man from U.N.C.L.E.', 'The Gentlemen' and others. 'Wrath Of Man' is another addition to his splendid list of movies and it's one of the better movies of this year. It's far above average, I had fun watching, it's just one hour and fifty minutes of good movie and I'm highly recommending it.
